The Evansville Review
There are presently no open calls for submissions.
We regret to announce that The Evansville Review must take a year off from accepting submissions due to the pandemic. We will be closed from September 2020 through the end of August 2021. We hope you understand, and please keep us in mind when the Fall 2021 submission period rolls around.
We are interested in work ranging from the traditional to the experimental. We welcome submissions from established writers as well as new voices, and we'd love to see the diverse voices in our slush pile continue to increase.
Unless it is solicited, we do not publish work that has been previously published elsewhere. Please don’t submit more than one submission in a given genre while a decision from us is pending. Additionally, please do not submit to more than one genre at a time.
Simultaneous submissions are encouraged as long as you notify us immediately if your piece is accepted elsewhere. If any of the poems in your online submission are selected for publication elsewhere, email the editor at evvreview@evansville.edu to withdraw the individual poem(s). We will continue to consider the rest of your submitted work. Payment is two contributor’s copies.
Submissions open on September 1 and close on October 31.
